Flip the Script: Understanding the Story of San Diego's Opportunity Youth

There are approximately 43,000 opportunity youth in San Diego County. These are 16–24-year-olds who are neither in school nor employed. This study tells the story of San Diego’s opportunity youth and the organizations that serve them, and presents a vision for how we might flip the script for San Diego’s youth. This study was produced by the San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP) in partnership with the University of San Diego School of Leadership and Education Sciences (USD), University of Southern California Price School of Public Policy (USC), Measure of America (MoA), 2-1-1 San Diego, San Diego Youth Development Office, UC San Diego Extension and the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation.
